Treatment Philosophy/ Personal Information:
Madi’s passion for rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries was first established at a young age, due to tearing her ACL and Meniscus in 2015, while playing premier level soccer. After recovering from reconstructive surgery, she learned that there is so much more to injuries than just the physical aspects. Madi learned first-hand that injuries can also affect your mental health. This can be due to not being able to participate in the sport you love, not being able to work to your fullest capabilities or feeling you have lost your independence. From her own personal experiences, Madi became a dedicated advocate mental health.
Madi’s philosophy for treatment is centred around patient education. Madi believes in empowering her patients by teaching them about their injury, why it has occurred and what to do to help each person to their desired success. Madi’s goal is for every one of her clients to be able to understand the “why” to her treatments.
Growing up, Madi was a multi-sport athlete who participated in competitive soccer on the Provincial team as well as playing high level basketball, volleyball and track and field.
In Madi’s spare time, you will find her dog Ellie, playing hockey, training in the gym, and furthering her education in the field of Athletic Therapy.
